Cultural Colonization

east__-__west_648125What we see today in the world and what is called modern civilization and culture is really only the British culture, or the queen’s culture or if you may call it the western European culture.
Collectively, the British and the Spanish empire have systematically waged a silent and covert operation of cultural colonization. Of course they call it modern governance, scientific progress and above all ‘justice’.
Slowly, but steadily this colonization has been successfully wiping out the eastern, African and other indigenous cultures. The culture of harmony, awareness, spirituality and self-realization has been slowly but surely being replaced with the one of external growth based on profit, ego and self-satisfaction.
Rich eastern culture, which is diluted and pretty much non-existent, depended on Living in the now, Valuing rest, being Passive, Contemplative, Accepting what is, Living in nature, Wanting to know meaning, Lapsing into meditation, Focusing on self-abnegation, Learning to do with less, Honoring austerity, Cherishing wisdom of years, Retiring to enjoy the gift of your family, etc.
The western culture, which is predominant in the so-called ‘modern and civilized’ world depends on Living in space, Valuing activity, Assertiveness, Diligence, Seeking change, Wanting to know how it works, Focusing on self-assuredness, Attempting to get some more, Being successful, Honoring achievement, Retiring to enjoy the rewards of your work, etc.
Learning from eminent predecessors how to live a fulfilled life as a human being is the true goal of traditional Eastern education. The root of the Eastern mind is selflessness. On the other hand, the modern Western way of life is based on a subject-object thinking, and making dichotomizing distinctions, hence causing suffering.
We live in a world that is rapidly approaching ONE WORLD culture, which in reality, if you examine closely is the culture based on the British/Spanish ways of thinking.
We are not too far away from ONE world culture, ONE world economy, One world currency, ONE world government and ONE world order.
What a wonderful world!

Man’s way of thinking, Woman’s way of thinking

“A woman’s highest calling is to lead a man to his soul so as to unite him with Source. A man’s highest calling is to protect woman so she is free to walk the earth unharmed.” – Cherokee Proverb

In the current state of the digital and cyber success, we in today’s world call ourselves modern, sophisticated and civilized. What is our men and women’s way of thinking in this modern and civilized world? Are the men and women working for each other or are they working against each other and being a competition?

A modern woman’s thinking is that they do not need a man to protect them, they can lead a perfectly successful life without the need of a man as protector or provider. They would rather be in control.
A modern man’s thinking is that they do not need a woman to lead them, they can lead a perfectly successful life without the need of a woman as a guide or leader. They too would rather be in control and dominate.

Can’t buy me love

At the physical level, Food, Clothing & Shelter are the 3 basic necessities that money has bought for us for as long as the modern day history dates itself. Then there are needs & wants, that flowers on the tree of desires that grow from the pleasurable stimulus of our 5 senses. Things we love to see, things we taste, smell, hear & feel. Again money buys them for us. At another level there are needs of our spirit, the needs of our subtle body, the needs of our self, the real self. Love, attention, satisfaction, happiness, ecstasy, sense of achievement and bliss of the moment. Can money buy any of these?

Money! What is money?

Wiki says “Money is anything that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts.[1] The main uses of money are as a medium of exchange, a unit of account, and a store of value.”

Money is a token, a material token that has evolved from a piece of substance to a piece of value. A Value for our needs. Money is a concept conditioned in our mind.

Nature has provided everything that is needed by our physical body. They have been available, are available and will always be available. We just need to know where to look and how to look.

we have to un-condition our mind, and understand that there are many other ways of obtaining the needs of our spirit.

Imagine a world free from the concept of money. Ask yourself how your lifestyle would be in a world that does not understand the concept of money. Identify and record the responses. Understand the responses and implement them in your life, however applicable, and watch your life change.

That’s it for now. I see I started on a beatles song and ended john’s. John is my hero!
